Ep. 29: Week 16 vs. Seattle

This week the guys did enough to lose, but survived with a win anyway.

Flanny and Cope go over the 20-17 victory over Oakland, crazy ending, notecard, and all. They start with the top storylines and coaching before digging into the nitty gritty with the offense (14:17) and defense (24:21). After that, they look ahead to what Seattle may bring (43:57), hit you with predictions (51:30), and consider playoff possibilities (53:22). As always, they finish up with a few Enders (55:42).

Ep. 28: Week 15 at Oakland

This week the guys might not bring their “A” game, but they did enough to win.

Flanny and Cope go over the 30-10 victory over NFC East rival New York Giants, starting with the offense, making points like Dak throws the seam to Witten well and asking questions like Rod Smith or Alfred Morris. After touching on a little special teams talk with Bailey and Switzer (12:58) and a little more Dak talk, it’s on to the defense (17:53) in a week that Lee and Hitchens stood out but the defense as a whole could have been better against the run. They also ask if Dallas missed Irving and if the Boys are set at corner. Then it’s time to look at Oakland (26:22) before the preview gets sidetracked by some unexpected Jonathan Cooper talk. Next, Flanny and Cope give predictions (32:19), check in on the playoff possibilities (34:21), and finish up with Enders (37:17).

They talk all things offense (2:25) including Dak’s continued struggles, Dez, Alfred Morris and the offensive line before giving Swtizer his kudos (11:40) and moving onto the defense (12:56). After touching on all three levels of the defense, Awuzie, all the young bucks, Frazier/Jones, etc., the guys choose their Stars of the Week (33:29). Next up, the New York Giants game (34:25) and predictions (40:40) before talking playoffs (42:27) … That’s right! Playoffs.

Ep. 26: Week 13 vs. Washington

This week the guys try to remember the Chargers are from LA now, not San Diego, but do a very poor job.

Flanny and Cope break down the 28-6 loss to the Chargers in another short rundown due to the holidays. They take a look at Dak, the passing game, the defense, the running game and everything else. Cope is pretty down but Flanny says there are still five games left and who knows what can happen. After breaking down the Chargers game, the guys look at what can happen vs. Washington and have a few thoughts on the craziness of Jason Witten to coach at Tennessee. Flanny and Cope will be back in the normal format next week.

Flanny and Cope try a new format this week with a quick and dirty basically live podcast right after the game. It’ll serve as this week’s podcast on the Eagles and looking ahead to the Chargers, but then they return next week in the normal format to cover the Chargers and look ahead with all of the usual segments. They also cover a bit of special teams (16:07) before moving onto the defense (18:18) where Cope continues to wish for more. After that, they struggle to choose their Stars of the Week (27:03), then Eagles fan Joe Vozzelli joins the show for the Flip Side (27:57). Flanny and Cope give their takes on the Philly matchup after that (38:26), and follow up with predictions (43:49). They pick their Stars of the Week (42:47), then it’s time to look at Atlanta (44:06), a possible trap game. They finish up with predictions (49:01), the NFC East Watch (49:43) and Enders (53:24).

They start off with some offense talk (1:21) with praise for Zeke and the O-line and continued acclaim for Dak. Next, they go over the solid defensive performance (16:16), including some discussion about what we’re getting from Taco Charlton. After previewing this Sunday’s matchup against Washington (32:17) and making their predictions (37:40), they wrap up the show with NFC East Watch (39:22) and Enders (41:55).

Then they preview this week’s matchup against winless San Francisco (34:45) before getting into their game predictions (46:42), NFC East Watch (48:21), and Enders (50:19).

This week the guys inexplicably fall apart during the second half of the show.

Flanny and Cope start this week’s show off with some general thoughts and takeaways from Sunday’s loss to the LA Rams. Next they talk offense (07:34), as Dak and the gang give you 30 points but still somehow disappoint. After that is some hard-hitting defense talk (25:34) followed by picks for Star of the Week (38:27). Looking ahead to this week’s game against Green Bay, Flanny interviews Packers fan Casey Meyer on the Flip Side (39:28), and then he and Cope go into their own preview of the matchup (47:12), before concluding the show with Predictions (51:56), NFC East Watch (54:28), and Enders (56:57).
